HOW TO FIT A GULLSWEEP® TO YOUR BOAT

The GULLSWEEP is easliy mounted on a hard or soft top because there are a Wide Variety of Mounting Options. Gullsweep® performs best when it is level to the water. The mounts below take seconds to put in place and seconds to remove and store when your boat is running. Gullsweep® GS-FM Flex Mount The GS-FM Flex Mount is designed for those situations over canvas where one does not want to put a hole in the boat to locate the Gullsweep®. The GS-FM is able to be pulled into location and tied down using the rope loops, without a lot of rope pressure on the canopy, bimini top or roof. Weight 2kg (3 lbs) Tough & durable canvas construction. All stainless steel hard ware. Centre block is 8''x8''x1'' giving ridged flat surface Ideal for hard flat areas, cabin tops or hard top boats The base can be filled with sand which shapes easily over any irregular canvas support members. The important point is to be sure the Gullsweep® centre support pin is vertical to the water. Centre pin (shown) is not included with GS-FM because it utilizes the standard pin that comes with a Gullsweep®

Gullsweep® GS-RM Rail Mount Gullsweep® Standard and "new" Small rail mount Place vice clamp over railing & tighten so it is vertical to the rail. (Option, put tape around rail before mounting to indicate where GS-RM or GS-SRM should be mounted, and also to protect the rail.) Adjust centre support pin to be vertical to the water & tighten adjustment nut. (See B) Place your Gullsweep® on the support pin, adjust, if not level. If clamp is left on rail, remove centre pin to avoid injury! GS-RM for rails up to 1-5/8” diameter GS-SRM for rails up to 1” diameter Centre pin (shown) is not included with GS-RM or GS-SRM because it utilizes the standard pin that comes with a Gullsweep®
Gullsweep® Model GS-RK - GS-1 Retainer Kit (add it to your existing Gullsweep) For those applications when a Gullsweep® could fall off of a non permanent mounting — i.e., GS-FM pulled from a canopy might turn sideways and the Gullsweep® could slide off the centre mounting pin and go over board. Unfortunately, Gullsweeps® do not float. Simple to install and will take the worry out of the situation. Model GS-RK is made up of 4 pieces; SS Bracket, Shrink Tube, Grommet and O-ring Slide shrink tubing over lower portion of centre hub. Then, insert straight section of stainless steel bracket between hub and shrink tubing so bend is just above bottom of hub. Apply heat from a hair dryer while turning to shrink tubing tight to hub and bracket. Let cool. (A candle can also be used but do not over heat or let flame touch hub or shrink tube). Next, push Grommet over centre support pin, Wide end first down to 3" from the tip (pointed end). Then slide o-ring to top of grommet to further secure Slide Hub onto pin and gently pull SS bracket over grommet. Adjust grommet and o-ring position so there Is 1/8” or more clearance above and below grommet. Hub and SS bracket must not touch centre pin or retaining ring
Gullsweep® Model GS-7 - Canvas Mounting / U-Bolt Replacement Best for boats with canvas or nylon top. 1. Unclip one half of the forward edge along the windshield. This makes it possible to mount from within cockpit. 2. Screw the bearing pin into hex coupling. With the base centered over middle bow, with holes fore and aft, outline the base with a pencil to mark position. 3. With sharp instrument (ice pick) make 2 holes in the marked positions just large enough to insert u-bolt. 4. Insert U-bolt from below; place washer on to U-bolt and tighten lock nuts. Center pin (shown) is not included with GS-RM because it utilizes the standard pin that comes with a Gullsweep (GS-1).
Gullsweep® Model GS-P Storage pouch The Gullsweep soft storage pouch provides a quick and easy way to assure your Gullsweep, when not in service, is safe and ready for redeployment Equipped with a top strap for hanging vertically or 2 side straps that can be lashed to handrail or just under the top deck in a horizontal position. The GS-P can handle 2 Gullsweeps at one time if necessary, and there is a drainage hole in the bottom in the event the pouch takes on water. Made of Surlast blue canvas with 1” web supports, the GS-P measures 39” x 7” and weighs 12 oz.
